hello!

my name is jiyu, and this is my about page! my hobbies include drawing, making jewelry, needle felting, photography, fashion and of course; coding! frilldoll is my little outlet where i can ramble about my interests. although i had intended for this site to be more egl-centered (hence the name), i have decided to make it a mix of everything that i love. this way, i think it will be more fufilling to create and more interesting to view.

i started frilldoll mainly because my interests never seem to align with any of my friends, and i also have a hard time putting what i want to say together on the spot. especially when it's about something i'm passionate about, i get too excited and cannot string my thoughts together into coherent sentences.

i've been drawing since i could hold a pencil. i've always been the art kid throughout all of my elementary/middle school years. little me would draw constantly, my main subjects being random anime girls on the web, animal jam ocs, steven universe fusions, pokemon, and mlp. i've never stopped drawing since! you can see my works on my art page.

fashion has always been one of my biggest interests ever. as a kid, i would spend tons of time on virtual character customization & dress up. whether it was flash dressup games, roblox, or animal jam, it was a lot. in early 2020, i rediscovered harajuku fashion and immediately fell in love. ever since then, i've have dedicated lots of time & effort into slowly building up my wardrobe with pieces i love.
