5/10/25: major site update

today... i have finally updated the site! yay!!! it took me a really long time to finally publish this update, even though i have not taken a break from working on it. i've been working nonstop on the site, but never uploaded any of my progress. i’ve gone for a simpler cutesy design for the homepage, which features some of my art and photography! i have decided to start incorporating more of my art into the site to make it more unique. i've also made two shrine-like pages, dedicated to vocaloid and lolita!! it is very fun to freely talk about my interests on here. i'm really happy with how both of the pages turned out, i feel like they encapsulate the feeling i was going for very well. i have also been making slight improvements to each page. frilldoll is my first and only coding project and so some stuff is a bit dated. going back and reading my old and very inefficent ways of coding makes me truly realize my improvement.. the navigation on the art page has been fixed to not cover the art, and i've modified the page to use iframes. i also started making my own web-graphics! i find the small pixel-like feel of old web graphics very charming, and i would be very happy to see if anyone uses them ^_^.

the thing to blame for my lack of new content on the website is largely due to my perfectionism. designing websites for me is a hobby i do enjoy, yet i struggle a lot with creating webpages i like. i think ive cycled through around 6 completely different index designs because i couldn’t find one that i truly resonated with. my current index design isn't perfect, but i think it's cute enough and i'm forcing myself to upload it anyways. putting something up is better than nothing.. i'll just make tweaks as i go.
